Well maybe the relationship to the lyrics or the beat. Like heavy metal songs make you wanna jump around and scream and go rawr prolly 'cos it's so random and insanely amazing on the instrumental sound, eh? Then softer music makes you wanna calm down 'cos it's not rushing your adrenaline.

How'd I do on th' answer?

so why is it exactly that music can "soothe the savage beast"? What about it makes us feel so relaxed or, settles our angers, or quells our sorrows? What do you think it is?
